Celebration of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW)2023.

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a global threat to humans, animals, plants and the shared environment. Combating AMR is the responsibility of everyone and it must be addressed through the One-Health approach as it affects us all. To curb AMR effectively, all sectors must join forces to encourage the prudent use of antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents as well as other preventive measures.

Over the years, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has been organizing webinars to commemorate WAAW. The Quadripartite: World Health Organization (WHO), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and World Health Organization for Animal Health (WAOH) has declared 18th to 24th November, 2023 to celebrate WAAW with the theme: PREVENTING AMR TOGETHER. The slogan remains ANTIMICROBIAL, HANDLE WITH CARE.

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard
to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance.
I must say you have done a great job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Safari.
    Excellent Blog!
